Hockey Time

We signed Cole up a few weeks ago into a Learn to Skate for Hockey program.  He absolutely loves it.  They learn technique, skill and form for 50 minutes and then scrimmage against another team for the last 15 minutes.   He is having a blast playing and is really, really good.  In his 3rd game, he scored 5 goals.  It was amazing to see.

This past weekend, the rink in conjuntion with USA Hockey and the Atlanta Thrashers, offered a Learn to Skate Clinic for free for younger kids.   We wasted no time and signed Noah up as well.  Cole was able to participate as well and it was an absolute blast!.

As you can see from the pictures, Noah took to the ice pretty quickly.

It's a tough job but..

Someone has got to do it.  Here is the view from my "office" this past week.

We had a business meeting at the Gran Melia in Puerto Rico   As you can see it was very stressful

School Dance

The Elementary School Dance was this past weekend.  The kids had a GREAT time.

Cole was too cool for the Parents and asked we keep our distance.   Noah stayed pretty close but that's only because he's smart enough to let the ladies come to him.  And they did.   He could not get 10 minutes alone without another little girl wanted to dance, chase and tackle him.

It was a big night for Jordan as well.  In addition to all the requests to Dance.  She got her 1st rose from a boy.  I've got my eye on him from now on.

Snow Day in the ATL - 2010

We had our 1st snowfall of the season and although we probably only received about 1/2 to 1 inch total, the ice was everywhere.  It made it impossible to drive so school was cancelled.   Temperatures remained in the low 20's and the kids got to enjoy a day off.

Montreal

Started off the new year with a trip to Montreal.  1st time here and did not have much time to explore.

Basically these pics are a quick walking tour of old town on a day where the high was 18 degrees, so it was a really quick walking tour.   What I did see, I liked.

(ignore the dates on the pictures - the camera defaulted to 2009 with new batteries and i never set the date)

Highly recommend the beer at  http://www.les3brasseurs.ca/eng/index.php and the Poutine (AWESOME)
